Increasing bpm from 60 to 70

I had that done and it did pep me up. My pulse rate was about 42 for a couple years before I got my pacemaker so my system was fairly well adapted to a low pulse rate. I had the pacemaker for a couple years before they upped it from 60 to 70. I have only had one problem as my heart rate went up to 250 in the upper chamber and 150 in the lower. I called the doctor and his nurse said she would tell him but she never called back so I figured it was no big deal. She had called a wrong # and left a big long message for someone else, and so I went for about 48 hours with it like that and it finally quit on its own. I could not take my pulse as it was so erratic missing beats I just knew it was fast but on monday they called to see how I was and had me come in for apacemaker check and that was when I found out how fast it was going. Next time I will just go to ER. Been okay since though. My pacemaker initiates 100% of my heart beats most of the time. I used to take a medicine that controlled my Afib, but it quit working for me and I was blacking out. First time I was driving and thank goodness for those rumble strips. Alerted my husband and saved the day. I say go for upping your pulse rate to 70. Good Luck
