getting incision wet

How soon can you get your incision wet? I still have the strips on it..it's been 14 days post-op..kinda wondering when I can take a could shower. Feel really good and have alot of mobility in my left arm.just focusing on not raising it too high..

On both my pm insertions I had stitches that dissolved. I bought the really big thin waterproof plaster from the chemist and put it right over the area and showered from day one. Keeping it dry and removing when finished. Hope this helps.

It should be fine to take a shower at this point. I have always had strips used on my surgical site and the time they give me is 10 days. Most of your strips will probably fall off in the shower at this point for you. Just don't let the water blast that area directly. Go and enjoy that shower!
