ICD SWELLING

I RECEIVED MY ICD ON JULY 31,2012 IS IT COMMON FOR IT TO STILL BE SWOLLEN AND STILL HURT ...........

Hi! On my second ICD. Has your device site been checked at all since your device was implanted? Comparison checks during recovery are important. Please don't let a possible infection or placement issue become a big problem before you request to be seen. Will be thinking of you. Hopeful Heart

please call your doctor or whomever is taking care of you and your ICD and get it checked out.

better safe than sorry - wouldn't want to have an infection in there.

nothing should be hurting this long into your recovery (in my opinion).

Call your doctor asap.
