You make the call

Can't tell you what to do, but sudden drastic changes to the numbers are not a good omen. It might be anxiety over the monday picnic. It might be worse. If you don't go, keep close tabs on how you feel. That's the best indicator. And try not to go off walking in the woods alone just in case.

In my opinion...

This is my opinion. However, this information should not replace physician instructions.

I empathize with your concerns, however I don't believe a m Emergency Room visit is necessary.

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Am I dizzy or feeling lightheaded?
2. Am I experiencing shortness of breath or trouble breathing?
3. Am I having any chest, left arm, jaw, or back pain?

If you say yes to any of these, it would be in your best interest to go to the emergency room.

A heart rate of 94 is still considered to be normal. This is not a drastic change. It is simply a change.

A suggestion would be to make sure your pulse rate is counted for a full minute to get the true heart rate. If your pulse/heart rate is at all irregular, the home blood pressure machine can quite possibly be wrong.

The home monitoring system for your pacemaker will identify any concerning abnormalities with your heart rate. The monitor will identify your provider if the heart rate is too fast.

If you answer "No" to any of the questions, I recommend that you call your clinic on Tuesday. They can explain your pacemaker settings and what is considered too fast for you. The pacemaker prevents your pulse from beating too slowly. When your own heart beat/pulse is beating at 94, the pacemaker is typically is just watching and ready to help again when and if the rate becomes too slow.

Ask your nurses to reassure you. If you ask specific questions, you will likely get specific answers.

Good Luck and have a good weekend!
