Good morning! Two days ago I got my pacer placed for CHB status post Ablation approximately 1 month ago. I'm sill it the hospital but feeling much better today. The first night was horrible. The pacemaker site and side for that matter felt fine however my right shoulder back area would spasm up and hurt so bad along with every deep breath my mid and right chest wound develop sharp pains :( Yesterday my back let up quite a bit however I developed nasea and vomiting and potassium level dropped and WBC spiked for whatever reason. I've had an echo, 2 CT scans and 2 pacer checks and everything looks pretty good other than a small pleural effusion and atelectasis to my right lung and a small (hopefully calcified) mass to my right upper lobe. The pain with breathing has improved quite a bit this morning but not completely resolved and my HR will pop up to 120's with minimal movement (brushing teeth, etc.) Is this typical and has anyone else experience any of these issues!
Thanks,
Tiffany

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.
