I have just had a new packmaker and new leads put on the RHS (previously I had it on the LHS but it was removed due to complications). It is now 7 days post surgery and I am still finding it difficult to use my right arm and also have a sore shoulder. How long does the pain last in your right arm (I am right handed)

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
It will get better!!

What is RHS & LHS?
I just recently received a new pacemaker June 21st, however, i didnt replace leads but my pacemaker and leads were implanted through the vein in neck but much lower so its on top of breast, it was hidden behind the muscle. My right arm was hurting for about 2 weeks! My follow up appointment was a week after surgery and i was able to move it very little, i couldnt stretch too far, or raise my arm. He advised me to do some arm exercises. Try twisting your arm back and forth and moving it VERY SLOWLY up and down. Its probably easier to do this in the shower since there's steam !
I hope you feel better =)
