Hi! I am new to the site. I am on day 3 of having my pm implanted, my diagnosis was sic sinus syndrome with some afib. I have a question...is it normal to still be feeling some palpitations or fluttering s in the chest? Doesn't seem to last because I am assuming the pm is taking over. Traveling a new road....God Bless you all!

PM and fluttering
by Shepheart - 2012-10-14 05:10:28
Hi, have had pm since oct.05/12 (9 days) because of tachybrady with occasional Afib and flutter. I was told that the arrhythmia would not be fixed by the pm, but was there to keep a decent heart beat while I was on meds to control the Afib. My arrhythmias feel different with pm but are still there. I have not heard from the doc when I begin the new meds.

After a year and half of having pm..read my story...I still feel flutters and a couple months ago, my cardiologist told me it may have taken a year for it to completly kick in.It may take a while for it to work normally for you too. I am still very insecure.
