increase in resting heart rate

Hi,
I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and have had no complications for the three years I have had it. I am on amiodarone and a very low dose of coreg. For the past three years my resting heart rate was in the low 60's-now it runs in the mid 70's to 80.
Could my body be getting immune to the coreg and I may need a up dose to keep the resting heart rate down? Otherwise I feel fine, exercise daily, eat healthy, low salt,no sugar and normal weight.I am female.Any ideas?
Thanks,
Shamal

Being on meds long term, yes sometimes we have to up the dose because it stops working as well as it should. I don't know if we build a tolerance or the heart gets worse as we get older, but the net effect is the same. As long as it's not bothering you and your dr isn't worried, I wouldn't bother making any changes just yet.

Choice of Meds

See if your Cardiologist recommends Dronedarone rather than Amioderone, especially if you are going to up the dose, the former acts in the same way but has less long term adverse side effects.

You know you're wired when...

You prefer rechargeable batteries.
