Just listen to the DR and his/her instructions. Within days you should be able to do cardio work. Four to Six months for most of the other activities you have mentioned. You should feel a nice difference in your energy levels too...
6 weeks

I was told by my Dr that I just had to not lift more than 5 lbs for 6 weeks, and not lift left arm, pacer side above shoulder for 6 weeks.I did that,to the letter, plus I did take it easy doing other things, light house work, watering garden, stuff like that, for the 6 weeks.
I had been working out 6-7 days a week prior to having problems, and felt terrible not being able to right after surgery.I did start to walk about a week after coming home, just a little,as it wiped me out.I slowly increased,as I felt I could handle it.I listened to my body and for me it worked.
Im now almost 5 months post PM,and back to fully working out,7 days a week of cardio, which is where I was before.
For this I am thankful,to be where I was before, listen to what your Dr tells you,and listen to your body.
Theres nothing wrong with being careful, pace yourself(sorry no pun there),take it as you feel you can handle it.
Sounds like you eat sensibly, and I understand about needing to excercise to keep weight off.Im there too, just be smart.
