EOL

I had posted earlier about my pacemaker rate changing from 70 to 63. I had been to the doctor on Nov 20th and had my battery checked and they told me that I had less than 3 months until I reached ERI. Well I went back to visit the EP nurse on Monday after the rate changed and they told met hat my battery had reached EOL. They both seemed surprised since I had not reached ERI as on Wednesday and now I was in EOL. When they check the time I reached EOL it was 4:55pm on Wednesday, 1 hour after I checked out of the office. Well now I am scheduled for a pacemaker change on December 17th. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I have heard of things like that. It hasn't happened to me yet. I went into ERI Mode on the 15th and I am getting a new PM tomorrow morning.. Good Luck with you and your new PM. Mine is 8 years old....it is time for a new one.

What lousy timing! I thought it was bad when I went ERI a week after a check when they estimated a few more months. Good luck with your change. If this is your first, they are super easy. It's all estimates so they can be off, but it seems to me it's more likely someone read it wrong, I don't think they skip over ERI and go straight to EOL.
