I don't know about you but as a new recipient of a pacemaker due to sudden onset bradycardia I was fascinated by the ECG readouts. It looks terribly technical but I recently came across this site:
www.ambulancetechnicianstudy.co.uk/card.html
Not only does it give a brief refresher on the anatomy of the circulation and electrical system of the heart but also explains how it works with good diagrams all those PQRS and T waves that march across the graph paper. It has examples of ECG readouts for various conditions from normal sinus rythm to - asystole - the dreaded straight line.
It is not too technical though the last bit on ECG rules is a bit hard going but you can skip that.
The site gives a layman enough info to ask sensible questions of the medics - time spent in reconnaisance is never wasted!
If you have this alredsy then apologies but I couldn't find it elsewhere on the site.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
Very Informative
