AAI-DDD Mode

I just got my first pacemaker and want to be sure my intrinsic pulse is not going to be compromised. Can anyone direct me to or explain the way pacemakers are set to switch AAI to DDD modes and how it works?

Here's what you do to find the discussion:

Go to top right corner of home page. Click on "Search." Enter the following: DDD mode to AAIDDD. That will bring up the post opening the thread where the explanation is. Click on the post title & all the comments will show. The first by "Snitch" is your answer.
