Need a new ICD

I am currently residing in Mexico and my cardiologist here tells me I need a new implantable Cardioverter defribrillator (ICD) in2013. My son works for Delta Airlines and I can fly to places like Thailand or India at a very reduced rate. Would there be a much better cost savings in going to one of these countries versus having the surgery done here in Mexico? Has anyone had experience in one of these countries that they could share? Thank you so very much.

I had an ICD installed in Thailand 3 weeks ago and so far have had no problems, The scar is healing nicely and have had no pain at all from the implant, I cannot judge other countrys or their facilities but I am from the UK on private medical insurance and had no reservations about having the surgery in Thailand as that is where I was when I found out it was required.
