Officially Coming Out of Hibernation

Tomorrow's the day I get my new pacemaker. Sorry I haven't been in touch with any of you but I have not been doing well. Since March 8 I've been in battery-saving mode with intermittent afib and now, mild congestive failure. But all is not doom and gloom. Spring is officially here and today I found the most beautiful red amaryllis blooming on my front porch, a present from my 84 year old mother! She is also going to dog sit Abbey while I'm in the hospital because Abbey is recovering from a vicious monster lab attack at the park last week and got chewed up pretty bad. We'll be okay. Maybe when I'm powered up again I'll take up something really adventurous like skydiving or scuba diving or skateboarding or maybe move to New Jersey and take ballroom dance lessons with James. Or maybe just take a leisurely trip somewhere exotic, like my mailbox, which I haven't seen for a week. The sky's the limit when you have energy again. Keep me in your prayers, friends. Lenora

Lenora,
You are such a strong lady and this is what will carry you through all of this. You are an inspiration to us all and it just goes to show us how we should handle stressful/scary situations.
You will definately be in my prayers for tomorrow and your recovery time.
Until then, a special poem awaits your return :)

Take care and God bless,
~valerie

Hi Lenora, So tomorrow is the big day! Remember that you are surrounded by good thoughts, people who care a lot about you and abundant prayers. I will be waiting along with everyone else to hear from you afterward. We do miss your "voice of medical authority" when you aren't on. I hope this doesn't put too much pressure on you. lol I ask the Lord to give you peace as you go through this procedure tomorrow and that He will bless you with a quick recovery. With Love,
Sharon

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.Dont forget when you are up and running around to let us know how things went!!
I think I have about 3 years left in my battery. It is something that is on our minds all the time so it is good to be able to hear from others going through Pacemaker replacements so that we will know what to expect!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you....Kay
(Hope your little dog Abby is getting better!!)

Hi Lenora,
I'm new to the club, and I know you don't "know" me, but I wanted to wish you the very best tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Bambi

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
