follow up appointment

Hi, just heard that my follow up appointment is not till April 12th. My op was Jan 10th. Does this seem a long wait for a follow up appointment?

I didn't read all of Robert's reply until now. The main thing is if you have any issue your not sure about, call.

Don't hesitate to call.

I saw my surgeon 1 week post op and my cardiologist 2 weeks post op, so it seems long to me, but the above replies seem to confirm it as being fine. I have a dual lead medtronic.
If you think something needs to be checked then I'd call and set up an appointment now.

Yes it does to me

My first follow up was six weeks from implant and then the next is three months from that. I have the same pm as you.

I guess different Health Trusts have different policies but if ever you are in doubt or feel uncomfortable or in pain then ring the cardiac centre where it was put in straight away.

Follow up

Hi all. Well, had my follow up with the 'Techi' this week. It went well, my imagined wandering leads were none existant! They upped the rate to 60 from 50 for day time and left the night, 10pm till 5 a.m at 50. She was unable to sort meds and that will have to wait till the consultant sees the results from the follow up. My pm has, since Jan 10th paced for 51% of the time. So it seems that things are working well. Once I get shut of the numb lower leg feeling and cold extremities, maybe with a change of meds, things will be great. The wound has healed well and I can lay on my left side now. Just have to get back on my motorbike now, maybe Saturday! To those contemplating an implant, it is worth it, you do feel better eventually and there is lots of encouragement on the forum here.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
