Well everything went really well.......heart mapping on the Wednesday, then procedure on Thursday. The Ablation took 4 hours which seemed really quick as I had a general anaesthetic. The St Jude pacemaker technician was there to adjust the pm heart rate whilst the procedure was happening. No pain from the procedure itself however recovery from the anaesthetic took a while. The professor said the op was successful however now have to wait to see if AF returns. I was discharged on the Friday however had to hang close by in a motel which was opposite the emergency department lol until Monday just in case there were any complications.
Feeling really good though so will sit back take it easy for a few weeks then might return to work depending how I feel. The prof said that I have to give it at least 3 months minimum to determine if the ablation was successful or not, if not same procedure again.
Thankyou everyone for your well wishes .)

You know you're wired when...
Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

Yesterday I moved to a new place in my mind and realized how bad I felt 'before' and the difference my pacemaker has made.
Congrats
