Hi Nancy, you sound encouraging for having it done 2 weeks ago. had mine done last fri ,mar.1st. i feel a pinching sensation and when i get up from sitting, it hurts for awhile. did you have any swelling? i,m so careful with my movements. it scares the heck out of me.. good luck to you,, p.s. can,t wait to take a shower,, Elle

had mine done on fri mar 1st and can say am pretty sore at the least im still quiet numb over the site but it does feel very tight not got much swelling now but very brused also am scared to move arm alot although have been doing so a bit as i dont want a frozen shoulder. i took a shower this morn felt good to say the least iv desolvable stitches with soochers over the top.how you feeling in yourself i feel not too bad apart from tierd and a bit battered.have you had your first check had mine yest all is well and working to go back in 5 weeks for another check then should be able to start doing more.hope you dont mind me commenting on your post take care im from the uk.

you are braver than me about that shower , but today is the day for it , i do have the same symptoms, i,m so careful about my movements that now i have a stiff neck, darn. i try to keep moving and do a few chores around the house instead of lying in bed or sitting, my best,elle

Hi Namcy, I am into week five. Taking a one handed shower after a week felt wonderful . I was careful about not raising my arm above my shoulder for the first four weeks but did move it around so it would not freeze up. I did not want to loose any range of motion. It did hurt but this is normal. I found I reached above my shoulder a couple of times and was worried but nothing happened. Last week I was released to drive and move my arm above my shoulder. I found that I needed to do this gradually as my shoulder and ICD area ached and the incision pinched. I was determined not to let my ICD rule my life so I purposely did not baby it. I feel better every day. I use a heat pack that warms up in the microwave to put on my shoulder and back when I need to. Sometimes I just have to rest my arm for a couple hours and the pain goes away. Keep cream on the incision so it does not tighten up. It also helps the itching while it heals. My Doc said to use neospran from the drug store on it. You could see wat your doc says. Hope this helps.
