Two years ago my cardiologist allowed me to use a Medtronic Carelink Monitor every 3 months at home. We have Comcast phone, internet and cable and it has been very successful. Not once in two years did the transmission not go through.
Suddenly my September 25 transmission never went through nor did successive tries go through. The Carelink people said sometimes Comcast stops working with this type of monitor.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? I don't want to stop Comcast as it's mostly the only game in town, nor can I stop sending transmissions every three months. I would be grateful for any suggestions from anyone.
Thank you

I had the same problem

I also have Comcast and used the land line to call in transmissions with my Medtronic Care Link monitor. The transmissions stopped going through in August. I called my cardiologist's office and was told that many patients were experiencing the same problem. The office ordered a WireX cellular accessory to use with my monitor. The cellular accessory is easy to use.

Thanks so much for the information you all sent me. I've talked to Carelink several times but no success so far. I'm interested in the WireX accessory and will look into that. That sounds like it could solve the problem. I love having the monitor and not having to visit the office.
Will let you know what finally works out

We had a similar problem with our cable service. Problem was (for lack of a better term) a controller board in one of their nodal sites about a mile from our home. So while it appeared to be local to our house or to the box out in our back yard, it wasn't.
With the new systems, they should be able to trace the signal and pinpoint where it gets dropped. However, be prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone trying to get through all the phone minions who haven't got a clue as to how the system works.
I'm thinking if you start out with it being a medical issue, they may bump it up through the ranks quickly to someone who can understand the problem.
Hope you can get some help and get the issue resolved quickly.
