Urgent checkup required

Hi,
My dad had a pm installed in 2005. the pm has been working fine, but of late he's been in deteriorating health and is in the ICU since 10 days. I need to have his pm checked, but the doc informed that ela is now defunct and the technician equipped to check the pm is charging exorbitantly.
I stay in Mumbai and would appreciate if someone knew somebody in Mumbai, India that can check/test the pm at minimal costs. I am already burdened financially because of healthcare costs.

Hi Amit,
Which company pacemaker does your Dad have? I go to Bangalore for check ups. Fortis Hospitals have a tie up with Medtronics. Narayan Hrudayalaya haswith St Judes. In Fortis I pay Rs.350 for a check up, which includes the Doc's consultation fees and check up by the technician, which I THINK is mostly free service. You should go to the Dr/ Hospital which inserted the PM first time. THey should help you out.
