Normal Pain following PM Implant

Good Morning! This is my first post after having pm implant on 4/4/13 due to brachycardia. Due to an ananomoly, had to get implant on right side and am right handed. Will be receiving physical therapy and occupational therapy. Have been having profuse night sweats and restless sleep - waking up every 1-1/2 to every 2 hours and ravenous! Is this related to PM? Just woke up with stabbing pain in implant area - may have slept in a weird position - is this to be expected? I am female, just turned 65, was in great physical health and healthy eating habits. Just thankful to have my new best friend (PM) but have some feelings on intrepidation about what to expect in my recovery. Thanks for all your support and comments!

It is still very early for you. It can be uncomfortable sleeping at times. The stabbing pain is probably the nerves knitting back together after surgery, pretty common and/ or possibly the way you slept on it. After 4 years I still can not lie on my left side, it squeezes my device and is very uncomfortable. I know others say they have no problem, so we are all different.

Maybe your new found oxygen is giving you an appetite??

When in doubt speak to your Doctor, if for nothing else, to ease your mind but all in all it sounds like you are doing well. Glad you found us!
