road to recovery

Hi, i just recently received my first pm and am feeling much more energized than i have in 4 or 5 years. Been 10 days now since my surgery, still have some soreness in implant area but am experiencing most of my pain and discomfort in my right arm. (Side with implant)And my neck as well. I,ve been laying low and following doctors orders, just not to sure how long to expext this for. Thanks!
Looking forward to sharing more comments from all you guys.

I haven't been raising my arm or lifting anything heavy but i think i might have been using it a little too much.No Swelling or red spots so i guess thats a good thing Today i decided to lay on the couch all day and do absolutely nothing and was painfree all day. I decided to make supper and almost instantly started to get some discomfort which has now turned into pain.
I guess with a little more time and a little less activity i'll be felling 100%.

Are you using the arm at all or keeping it still? Don't raise it above shoulder level and don't lift anything heavy, but other than that it's important to use it as you normally would so your shoulder doesn't freeze.

The pain is probably just from nerves and how they manipulated you during surgery. Do you have any red spots, heat or swelling in the arm? Keep an eye out, those are signs of clots.

overdoing it

It's easy to overdo it! Just ease back into your regular activity. We all go through the stage you're at now- feeling better and ready to be active again but your body is not quite up to it just yet. By this time next week, you should be feeling much more your old self! I napped a lot the whole first month. I did what I needed to do to take care of my kids and house, but then would go take a tylenol and nap some days.
