I had one with my last surgery, you can always just go to your primary care doctor or nurse if it's more convenient. I just had any old doctor remove it. I know it's supposed to dissolve but for some odd reason they just come out sometimes. No worries.

When that happened to me, they said to snip it as close to the skin as I could and put a dab of polysporin on it.
Ok, stupid question... bloody as in annoying, or bloody as in has blood on it. If it's the second, get it looked at
Self Absorbing Sutures
by Selwyn - 2013-05-29 02:05:16
These can hang around for weeks. The last thing to do is to put petroleum jelly or greasy ointments and creams on this as it acts as a preservative and stops natural breakdown.
The self absorbing suture becomes integrated with the skin tissues and is best not removed if it has been present for more than 2 weeks.
Cutting ( with a sharp scalpel or stitch cutter, fresh shaving razor if the skin is flat ) as close to the skin as possible is the best answer. Failing that a cover, such as a plaster, will soon cause disintegration. You may not wish to do a DIY job- seek out a medical professional in that case.
Doctors often use Vicryl ( trademark) sutures for self absorbing sutures, though there are other makes.
Best wishes,

Yes, I had the same prob. Went back to Thorasic Surgeon, who implanted the PM. Just unbuttoned my blouse, he grabbed some tweezers & pulled out that stitch. Put me on antibiotics. Booboo all better !!!!

I got one too. Been over a month since implant. Sharp little tail sticking out, rubs T-shirt.
