Having a pm put in on Mon. Taking the Reveal Monitor out...Have secondary heart block whatever that is. Heart rate dropped suddenly from 75 to 30...almost fainted that time. Fainted two times before in the space of 2monts. PA said it was to be put in back ofmuscle. Did I hear her right? I thought it was put under the skin. Feedback????

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.

They can put it just under the skin. That's the fastest and easiest, heals the quickest. Under the muscle means it's out of the way and less likely to show once you heal, less likely to get in the way if you are active. Mine is buried and I love it. I was 27 and very underweight when I got my first one (1994) so my cardiologist was concerned about how it would look. You can't even tell it's there, I can barely feel the edges of it if I poke around looking for it.
