Low BP and strenuous activities

I had my pacemaker placed almost 2 years ago for sss. (I was born with a congenital heart defect. And Im only 26) For a while I had no problems whatsoever. It even lowered my high heart rates. Recently I have had very noticeable symptoms of low blood pressure. I know when it drops because I get super cold and can't get warm, I get so tired that using the remote to change the channel on the tv is hard, and I get the cold sweats. The lowest it has been (when I checked it) is 89/65. Most of the time I feel "normal" and just have to sit down after being on my feet for a while at work. Last week I decided to go ahead and do something I have always wanted to do.... ROLLER DERBY!!! I tapped out of practice 40 minutes early. I want to say its just because I'm out of shape, but worried that it's something more. I know others on here have had problems with low BP after getting their pacers. Does it affect anyone's workout, exercise, or daily activists? Also, when I do engage in strenuous activities I get hot, a headache, super sweaty, my legs get shakey, and I can feel my heart beat throughout my entire body. (this is just after 3-5 minutes) Any comments or experiences with this would be helpful.

Thank you! I JUST moved to a different state and going to set up a "new patient" appointment tomorrow with a highly recommended cardiologist. I had some concerns before I moved, but my previous cardiologist was cutting down his days at the clinic (to 8 days a month... Of that) so it was hard to see him. And I've considered wearing a chest plate during derby bouts. Other than that, I believe all my surgeries and high pain tolerance will come in handy. I can take a hit or a fall better than most. I just hope I get the ok to continue and I'll have the energy and stamina to actually endure practices and bouts. P.s. it's just as bad today as it was then)

I have the same symptoms if I work shovelling or any upper body work. Head gets sweaty chest arm pits get real swearty and I smell like an old horse. I get weak and just want to lay down and rest. I will allso get in to see a Dr. I have SSS just over 2 years now. I have not felt better for a long time and with 3 PM tech checks and a stress test a year ago. I will let you know how mine turns out. Thank you for posting it helps me

Roller Derby?

Hi, going to get a check up ASAP is great advice. My blood pressure went down for awhile. Turned out I just needed my medication dosage tweaked.

Make sure you check out about possibilities of pulling out wires by doing roller derby.

Well, when exercising I have found that my bp SKYROCKETS. So, it's low ocassionally (not constantly) but it is high when exerting myself. And I mean higher than any average person while exercising. To the dr I go.

You know you're wired when...

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
