I just joined this site in the middle of June 2013 I am 76 years old am 100% dependent on PM due to AV-node ablation and also have CHF--- Question: I had a 3 wire MEDTRONIC CONSULTA MODEL C4TRO1 put in on June 26th ( first PM was a 2 wire installed in 2007 ). ) The PM is fairly new on the market ( hit the market 2011 ) it has a number of rate response settings --- I am set at one above the lowest--- I am set at 60- 130 BPM--- My question is: when I'm sitting watching tv I'm running at 60BPM----when I get up walk to the kitchen and come back to the tv ( around 50 ft round trip ) I'mrunning at 110 BPM--this does not sound right to me. I will be seeing my EP and I have been thinking that the rate response should be raised to the next level. Does anyone have this PM installed or have , had the same problem or any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your response, especially walking during the integration session---good idea

You know you're wired when...
Youre officially battery-operated.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.

Mine was doing the same thing. They can change how quickly it goes up over time, how quick it slows down, the sensitivity, and upper and lower limits. When they adjust you tell them you want to walk during your intterogation. Only way to get it set correctly
