feel so unwell for 2 years and ongoing

Hi not feeling good and was wondering if anyone has same sort of thing, to cut very long story short I have had 3 pacemakers in 18 months due to infection, first infection was iv treated for 2 weeks before new one put in on other side, new one didn't heal properly for 6 months and I was constantly made to feel I was wasting doctors and cardio time and told its only scar tissue that wont heal not pocket infection, I was so fed up and depressed with it all, after 6 moths a hole appeared like a maggot hole in an apple and gallons of fluid was coming out, I had an appointment with cardio anyway so went to that and that point they admitted me stated iv antibioctic and next day the planned to take out pacer, at this point the cardiologist was very harsh with me and told me he wasn't letting me have another one as it was second infection and I would be discharged in a couple of days, at this point I went in to total panic and so did my family, if I say I was hysterical it would be an understatement, anyway had the op, came round, I was told I had rivers of pus in mu chest, spent the night on heart monitor and in the night I went in to asystole for 15 seconds so I was sent to another hospital to critical care, turns out I had endocarditis and had a ten week stay in high dependency stuck in bed due to my heart stopping, the longest it stopped for was 33 seconds I think, I had a few blood clots during my stay and big clumps of vegetation breaking free from valve were also seen, on the 10th of oct last year I had new pm put in mu tummy under GA, next day I developed a effusion I think its called around my heart and my god that was painful also I has a side effect from GA or from them putting wires in my groin but I was unable to pass water for two days so had to have catheter after all this I mad it home!!! then I find out wire has moved!! it was pacing a nerve and I could feel it from outside of by chest, was re admitted the had to take pm out put new wire in but had problems closing off femoral so ended up with a week stay just for that as I was at to much risk if I walked. had Christmas was still on lots of pain meds as feeling unwell, went on well needed holiday still not feeling well came home spent two weeks in with headache and feeling like flu then developed a blister on chest where I has the bad infection, I wasn't to worried as pm in my tummy now. blister got worse so went to see doctor and he sent me to A andE I was admitted and plastics said they would open it up as most likely a channel was left or developed so that was planned for 2 days time and before that they sent me for ultra sound on it to see what needed doing, turns out a hole as big as four of my fingers was under there!!! I was told I would have a big dip in my chest after, woke up with drains and a lot of pain, had few problems with very low blood pressure so lots of bags of fluid. my main worry is its only been a few months since I had endocarditis and I have not has an echo to see if all is ok, I was only given oral antibotics for 5 days while in hospital and with my history I have no faith that's enough, I am a month on now, wound healed but I am still feeling unwell all the time, I ache like flu, and breathless is a big problem as is standing still for more than 10 seconds, I am 36 trapped in a body of an 80 year old. I feel very disabled. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if anyone has any advice its more than welcome, I am in the uk so all this was done under NHS but now I am trying to save to see cardio privately.

You need to be seen by an Infectious Disease Specialist....and a different Cardio. Like Sparrow said, this needs to be treated aggressively. Take someone with you.

You can't wait until you save up enough money.

Please don't delay.

Thanks

The NHS is a great service however very stretched at the moment and seeing the same people is almost never happens at the moment, today my husband has sorted out private health insurance so next week I will see a cardiologist for more than 2 min. thanks for the advice. xxxx
