intercom delema

Does anyone know of a communication system for motorbike/sidecar that allows one to talk to each other safely. I have a pacemaker, we also have a scallia communication system Husband has since bought a cocoon blue tooth version intercom kit and their range is 2.4ghz, he is going to install it on the right side upside down

There is a telecommunications manufacturer that does have a communication system that can be used on a tandem motorcycle. The company originally developed voice actuated intercoms for private aircraft and has expanded to sports, emergency teams and recreational motorcycles. They have contact info and a toll free phone number so you might give it a whirl. I have used the intercom in a fixed wing Cessena 180 and 210. It can be portable as well as mounted permanently. It should have no effect on your PM operation. Your system power levels are too small.

A Ham radio operator asked the same question way down the list of threads, & rec'd answers that say he was safe to at least 100 watts antenna power. I'm sure that your bike system is measured in just a few watts - if that high. You only broadcast a few feet, not trans-Atlantic.

Try it out

I'd try it out while the bike is stationary. See how it feels. That seems to be the general rule of thumb when testing if something will cause interference. Approach it gradually and if it interferes (I suspect that as Don says it won't) then back away or shut it off.

I know that when I've tried out new/old things usually my anxiety over trying it out caused more symptoms than the activity or device. Once I've done it or used it and realise it's fine I'm good to go.
