i found out to-day that i did not drink enough. it was 34 degrees here which is almost 100 so it it was hot. drinking lots of water and of course a little bit of sports drinks are good if you can drink them. it especially effects me now since my pacemaker the heat i mean. i become dehydrated easier so i have to watch that i get enough water. to-day it will be hot agin but we expect rain. yesterday i was in the pool all afternoon. so remeber to drink as we need tobe hydrated in this weather jessie

Hi Maureen.
You must be getting a killer tan! Don't forget your sunscreen!
We are having a heat wave here too, and because of air conditioning, it's easy to forget to drink enough water.
I try to carry a bottle of H2o with me wherever I go.
Great advice, thank you for posting it.
Take care,
~ Dominique ~

Swimming is great exercise, you can give your stairmaster a break, until the weather changes. Your friend's pool and yard sound beautiful.
They sound like good people, who haven't let their good fortune go to their heads, and still remember their friends.
What do you do around Christmas/ Ski?
hi valerie dominique

to-day i was swimming again except in another pool. it was a huge pool and the yard is georgeous full of perennials and very large. they were lucky in inheritances and were able to build this beautiful home years ago and now have a condo in florida. they only had one child and he became an electrician like his dad so schooling was cheap. lol so they are very nice. we get to-gether once now and then before christmas
Too Bad.

Which part of Canada are you from? And if you don't have mountains close by, then what do you do for entertainment? Do you have lakes? Pretty country side? Georgeous parks?
I hear the parks in Canada are beautiful. Funny, my husband always says the exact same thing. That's one way to make sure it'll never happen! Lol.
lol

My husband was raised in Michigan. A small town called Monroe. He and his friends used to go to Canada quite often.
Our mountains are about as far. In our younger times, we all skied, as a family. Take a ski bus early in the morning, and again late in the evening, exhausted but exhilarated.
In the summer, we did a lot of camping, we had trail bikes, and we explored everywhere.
We are slower now, and we enjoy hiking, taking off on a trail, admiring the beauty of nature. We take the gondola to the top of the mountain, and hike down.
In the winter, we stay close to town, or take the grand kids to Santa's shoppe atop Pikes Peak. There are a lot of old abandoned gold mines around, it's always fun to explore around them, hoping to strike it rich.
great fun

i know where monroe is not that far from us. now the kids come over because they can drink here at 19. it is still 21 in michigan. we used to camp up on lake huron near bayfield. a very nice quaint old area with lots of shops. in the winter it is all closed up.it is too isolated now for us. they the children would like santa's shoppe. my grandaughter has already figured out that macy's is anice store. lol lol she likes the clothes from there. when we were in alaska it was beautiful the scenery. we walked a lot and admired the beauty of nature there. we also saw where the salmon come to spawn.

we live on the u.s. border to michigan in ontario. it is the most southern part of ontario so we get hot humid summers. we grow a lot of fruit here. we have no mountains close. they are about 200 miles or so away but we have rivers and lakes. in the summer we have a small boat and we go for boatrides and just take some cold drinks and a fishing pole.you i know havew the best skiing there is probably. i have always wanted to go if only for a weekend. i used to skate but would be afraid now of falling. in the winter here it is cold for a few months. we don't get as much snow as you but cold. we are about 30 minutes from metro airport. we do have a beautiful park about 30 miles away on lake huron my s-i-l lives in an apt overlooking the park. the one who is a widow. someday we may have to too but not right now. tell me what do you do in the winter? and the summer?yes i hope what you say is true for awhile anyway about lotteries. we are lucky so far.
