Remote Control/Gas drivenToys

Hi All,

Had you ever had the opportunity to let your kids play with remote control cars without causing any interference with their PM?

Also playing with kids gas driven vehicles 6V types without affecting PM function.

Appreciate your response..

Most of the things you find around the house won't cause enough interference to bother the PM.

The RF (Radio Frequency) from the 6V transmitters isn't anywhere near enough wattage to bother the PM.

We have people on this site who are working in power plants and on diesel electric locomotives with no problem.

We've also got people running short wave radios with no problems. The wattage on their radios is a lot higher than what you'll find on the 6V models.

Microwave ovens are shielded so they won't cause any problems with the PM's.

I have to go through an area where there are TV transmitters. The RF is enough to make "waves" of interference on computer monitors. No problem with my PM. That's a lot more RF than you'll get from the 6V transmitter.

Worst case is the RF would cause the PM to go into test mode and you'd feel it. But I don't thing 6V transmitters are anywhere near enough to trip the PM.

I've also had an MRI and that's a lot more powerful than a 6V transmitter. No effect on my PM.

Enjoy your remote control cars!

I've played with my son's remote controlled cars with no issues at all.

You know you're wired when...

You have an excuse for gaining an extra ounce or two.
