Just wondering if there are any other runners here that have discomfort from their pacemaker/defibrillator bouncing in their chest. Heavy duty sports bras have not been sufficient in keeping it still as they are not high enough nor tight enough in that area of the chest. Wondering if anyone has tried a chest strap and if they have been pleased with the outcome?

I received the ICD August 16, 2011. I have stayed active in gym workouts and walking trails, but just started back running and I don't care for bouncing around feeling I am getting. I have considered a compression bra, the type prescribed to breast augmentation patients, but I wanted to post here first to see if there were any suggestions. My ICD is very close to the surface, as I didn't have a lot of options because I am very thin. Not to metion that I don't really care that it's visible. Thanks for responding.

We're all built differently so what works for one person may or may not work for someone else. The best way to know is to give it a shot and see what happens.
How long since your implant? It can take up to several months to get comfortable enough for a high impact workout.
