Hello, a week ago i got my fist pacemaker, for av block 3rd degree. since i have no problem with sinus node my heart rate changes as expected with activity.One thing that doesn't change is the speed of my breathing, no matter how much physical activity i do my breathing is still same normal as if i'm sitting and relaxing.My first checkup is in 3 weeks and then i will have more info but until then does anybody knows anything about this?

It just means that a portion of your heart does not squeeze as hard as the other portions. Most likely in your left ventricle. Doc's can give you medication that increases your inotropic effect to help with this. It's not the end of the world, some people's whole hearts are kinetic.

If you feel good and can do whatever you want, then I wouldn't worry too much. I breath harder but not necessarily faster when I exercise. Your body might just be getting used to beating in sync, you got used to the lower oxygen levels you had with the lower heart rate.
