It has been 4 weeks since I had my PM put in tomorrow! Everything has been great. Wound is healing nice, breathing is MUCH better. Went through my first security check this weekend with no problems and the Packers WON!!
Still have a slight pain at the site where it was put in. Only when I touch that area.... I know don't touch it!! Is this normal??

It will be sore for awhile.
I've had a pm for a yr and a half and sometimes the site still itches me. I just figure it's all part of it. Not a big deal. It'll get better-- you won't even know it's there.
Normal

Should still be a little sore to the touch, from what I remember. Guess the swelling is now reduced or reducing and you can feel the PM itself. So long as there is no weaping and the wound is not angry red you should be fine. I think from what I've read from others occasional itching can be a longer term side effect for some of us. Mine still itches from time to time even after 4 months. Best of luck. John

Yeah, it'll be sore for a while. I'm 60 days in with my PM and the area is still a little touchy. I can feel the PM but I can't run shower water on the implantation site. Even though the wound has healed, the area is still touchy.
It took me most of the 60 days before I forgot I had the PM.
I'm in rehab now and I'm still tight in the PM area. I also had a collapsed lung and a chest tube so the other side is sore when I start to do exercise.
It will loosen up, just give it time.
Hang in there. It gets better!
