Hi, have heard/read many comments regarding diving with pacemakers. I have a Biotronik pacemaker and did not get a satisfying reply from the factory in Berlin as to recommended depth...5 m max! Anyone have more info as to pressure tested?
Thanks for reply, rgds Richard

PM Diving

My St Jude can only go down to 20m. It seems unreasonable to put this to the test. I expect I could do a shallow dive.I stopped diving when I received a PM. We regularly exceeded 20m depth.
I still enjoy snorkelling - plan to do this with whales off the Dominican Republic this March! Most of my best photographs were taken in fairly shallow water where the light was better. Always there are alternatives. I expect you could try a small sub.!
The web site suggested by Barry is excellent.

I used do do a lot of diving when I was younger. Of course I did not have a PM back then! I am 64 now with a PM implanted in January this year.
I read this article which may help you in understanding PM's and diving.
