pacemaker

Hi had my check last Wednesday 2 need July. This weekend shopping felt as though darkness was coming over me, like I was going to pass out. Heart started to beat fast and then I managed tho get out of shop and it eased. Checked with 111 medical help by phone. Ended up going to casualty. Test run, bloods taken, said blood pressure must have dropped away. Anyone had this happen.

Hi JuPage! I have CHF and and pacemaker, defibrillator. Because of the heart failure my blood pressures runs low and when I have those episodes, I have to sit down and let it pass. Also have you had your potassium checked? Sometimes if that is running low, it can affect your heart rate as well. I have had my pacemaker for 10 year and a defibrillator for about 5 years because of the heart failure risk. Can be scary sometimes when these episodes occur, don't take them lightly, just sit down and allow you heart rate to recover and agreed, stay hydrated.
