Tired

I had a stent put in Nov 29 and a pacemaker Nov 30. I think I feel okay but I an extremely tired all the time. Very little energy. I thought I would feel great- not yet. Any ideas?

It's barely been a week, your body is probably still adjusting and healing! You just had two procedures, you were probably struggling for a while before that. Anesthesia, pain, a new heart rate... I would be surprised if you were ready to run a marathon this week. Give it time, you'll get there.

..."Some Tough Love for Newbies" Copy this title into the SEARCH function top right corner. Open it up by clicking on the title when it shows up, the post is long.

See if that puts some of your questions to bed.

It is great to have this site. I feel better just knowing that others have felt tired too. I think I overdid it last week. No one really advised me to take it easy. Thanks for your support.

Welcome! I experienced more fatigued than I anticipated too. In fact what happened was I pushed myself to utter exhaustion two days over the Thanksgiving break (nine weeks post op). For some reason after "recovering" from that my energy level seems back to normal! I must have passed some threshold or something. It is different for all of us, but I sure get your disappointment. Just hang in there and take care of yourself.

take it easy

Hi, I also had a stent inserted then 2 days later had a pacemaker, that was about 7 weeks ago now, I took it easy for the first 5-6 weeks , the doc wouldn't let me drive for 6 weeks, however I am as good as new now, doing everything that I was doing before the op, so hang in there good times are just a little way ahead. I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
