pacemaker pulse generator problem

Has anyone had pacemaker interference from the home electric system, power lines, faulty wiring or a home security system's motion sensors (infrared sensor lights).

I just got my second pacemaker in 18 months because my first one malfunctioned causing pacemake induced tachycardia.

I had fast heartbeats caused by my pacemaker not my heart.

Now I'm worried that the same thing is happening again because when I got home I started having the same symptoms again.

I don't doubt

I don't doubt you're having problems with fast heartbeats when you go home, but it is highly unlikely your home electrical system and/or home security system is causing them. More than likely remembering you had the problems and anxiety is dumping adrenaline into your system is the root cause.

Won't say it can't happen but the typical home doesn't have anything that will interfere with a PM. So unless you have a large home generator running on the outside wall next to where you're sitting, it is almost impossible for anything in the home to interfere with your PM.

Accidentally grabbed a live 110 volt line the other day with absolutely no effects on my PM. Regularly go by a broadcasting TV tower with no effects. And work around 220 volt table saws with absolutely no effect. So you would have to be around some extremely large EMF fields to have some kind of effect on your PM. Those are not usually found in a typical home.

Hope you can find the source of your tachycardia but I seriously doubt it is anything electrical in your home.
