Five 1/2 week after implant I finally feel better than before the implant in all ways. I can even sleep on my left size (with an extra pillow) without an discomfort, and can quell the bass drum boom-booms by tilting more towards my back. I have energy and am looking forward to an upcoming warm weather trip! I forget about the pm most of the day also. My neurologist was super happy that all my dizzy spells ceased and signed me up for the next appointment a Year from now! Now all I have to deal with is sleep apnea :( and a small hernia that just "popped up". I will make sure on my next pm interrogation at the beginning of April what measures would be necessary in undertaking surgery for that.

No CPAP Yet

My test results will not be in for 8-10 days, but they were positive for apnea since the technician woke me up after 2 hours sleep to slap a mask on my face. Or rather three different masks and pressures to titrate. Not much sleep. Depending on how high the numbers are I will either have a full mask because I am a mouth breather as well as a nose breather OR if the numbers are more mild I may qualify for the dental appliance that just shifts the jaw so the nasal passages stay open at night. I have been checked regularly for A fib including wearing a 30 day monitor.

Apnea

Are you on a CPAP for your apnea? Have they also checked for a-fib? Sleep apnea can cause heart problems so am wondering what they have done for you.
