Hi all....
Just wondering if anyone has experienced dizzy spells and shortness of breath well taking amiodarone? And what was done to over come this side effect?
Mornings are worse part of the day.
I also am panicking when I know I have to do any type of exertion.
Any help is appreciated?
Thanks

Hi Derf!
When are you taking the Amiodarone?
I took those antiarrhythmic drugs that need to be taken only once per day always at nighttime. Found out that it helped a lot with tiredness. When I took betablockers or Amiodarone in the morning, usually one or two hours later I got really tired. When I took them at nighttime that side effect didn't matter, and in the morning it had already subsided.
Might work for you, too.

Hi....
I agree and do take them at night and it does help... However, I still experience shortness of breath and many dizzy spells throughout the day
Thanks

Hi... I am on 200mg once per day and I have been on amiodarone for just over 2 months now.
My doctors are going to try to reduce my dose if my symptoms continue.
I also have PVC's which they are trying control.
Thanks

Hi all...
Just wanted to thank everyone for their support.
Another question? Anyone on Valsartan blood pressure medicine. If yes could this be causing my dizzy spells and uneasy feeling?
Thanks

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.

What dose of Amiodarone are you taking? How long have you been on it? I took it for a couple of years and in the beginning they "packed" me with it intravenously at the hospital and then I switched to orals. I did feel strange and was anxious to have the dosage reduced, which it was more than once .... and I felt better. Wishing you the best.
