cronic pain/confusion with pacemaker

My mom has had her pacemaker for a couple of years now. A couple of days ago suddenly doesn't "feel well". Weak, seems confused, says she's in severe pain. Is in hospital now, all blood tests and xrays are normal. Can this be related to her pacemaker? Just wondering what any of you think.

Your heading says chronic pain/confusion. Then you say she's had the PM for a couple of years. Then a couple of days ago not feeling good. Then severe pain.

Where is the pain? What was the chronic pain? What is the severe pain? We need more information.

Based upon your short description where it came on a couple of days ago, weak, and confused - that would indicate a stroke. You'll want to get that checked out immediately. Surprised the doctors didn't check for that? Or did they?
