Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.
Same either way...

My EP says his office will bill for the same interrogation procedure codes when evaluating Merlin@Home remote monitoring session data as they use when I come into the office for a "manual" interrogation.
So I get charged for an insurance office visit co-pay either way. But with the remote monitoring, I don't have to schedule an appointment and drive down to his office. And if something isn't right, Merlin@Home will "phone home", possibly before I know there's a problem. They don't have to spend time interrogating my ICD in their office, but they do have to recover the data by computer... so it's probably about the same amount of time and effort for them. Seems fair enough... it works for me.
