Do you have a doctor now?

Welcome to the forum.
1. battery life will vary from patient to patient, depending on their needs: for example, I am 100% paced, (all the time), so my pacemaker battery life is not as long as someone who gets occasional bradycardia (slow heart rate), for example, whose pacemaker may last more than 10 years.
2. I do not know how the health system in India operates, but elsewhere it would be very unusual not to have your pacemaker regularly checked by your doctor. This check will notify the doctor of the remaining battery life, and thus when to anticipate replacement needs. If you have not had your PM checked, you should do so as soon as possible.

Hello Subhhendu.

It looks like you're going to win a prize for the longest battery life of a pacemaker! Please do what Sara suggested and get it checked immediately.

If you're ever in the US, please post and let us know you're coming. My husband and I are traveling next year to Delhi, India.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
