CRTD Fitted

Hi all, new to the forum, had a CRTD fitted in early April. I have cardiomyopathy and AF so desperately needed something to improve my quality of life. Over the past 18 months I have been retaining water to the point I had gained over 1 stone 7 pound in weight and my ankles looked like elephant legs! Well, four days after fitting I have now lost 7 pounds, I can see my ankles and I am starting to feel like a human being again. The pain in the shoulder is also starting to abate now but it's going to take some time to get used to having this alien machine under my skin.
To anyone out there who is preparing to have a device fitted I can only say that my experience was far less traumatic than I imagined so be confident and good luck.

It's good to hear you are doing well. Most of us find we built it up in our heads to be much worse than it turned out to be. Wishing you smooth sailing.
