I would say yes, just do not over do.

Why Not?

It definitely sounds like you're ready. If you're not sure, contact your doctor's office and ask for the nurse. Just watch the "rowing motion" in any gym workout since that may cause a bit of an issue at the incision site.

exercising

After 6 weeks jogging should be fine. Just start slowly and see how it feels. I was jogging after a month or so.

Most gym exercises are ok, but one or two may be a problem. It depends on the location of the leads. Some people are not supposed to do chin-ups. In my case I can't lift weights straight up.
I would ask your doctor or PM technologist if there are any restrictions in your case.

Running

If you are a runner, start slowly. I hit the wall at 200 yards and pacing 100 yards. I am set at 60-140. I sent my pulse rate to the Cardio Doctor to show him that the best HR I could get was 70 to 80bpm. I think I was peaking out and the PM was pulling me back down to half of the 140bpm. I am off to the clinic tomorrow to get an adjustment. I will keep you posted.
