Which parameters need to be checked when you are implanted a PM?
And how often do I see doctor to check my pacemaker's situation?

PM Checks

I just got my PM a couple of weeks ago--my first Pacer check was at 1 week, then i'm to go back to see dr and pacer check at 6 weeks. I think then I go back in 3-6 months then I think my dr. said probably every 6 months to a year depending on how i'm doing. The pacer clinic gal said she'd probably also give me a home monitor that I can send a transmit to the office if I need to (If I go into afib or something I guess) that way they can see what's going on. I'm not even sure it will work with the phone I have but we'll see.

get a copy of your PM interrogation report every time they check it. It has all the info for you and your PM. That way you'll have the info if you have questions in the future.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.

They run a report that pretty much checks everything- the leads, how much it paces with each lead, how much juice it's using, episodes since the last check. How often they check varies. Some go every 3 months, some go 6 months, some go once a year.
