Pedometer and Wrist BP monitor

Hello all.
I have a CRT inserted (what they call biventricular PM).

1. Now i got this 2 in 1 pedometer with fat analyzer and on reading the ,manual it said not to use it with PMs. Can i use the pedometer without using the fat analyzer? Is it safe to use in my condition? (I hope).
2. I bought an Omron R2 wrist blood pressure monitor, now is it safe to use? Putting in mind that the monitor must be put at the level of the heart when measuring.

Sorry for the disturbance, thanks allot. God Bless...

There are very few gadgets we can't use, ones that measure body fat are on that short list. The pedometer itself and bp monitor are fine. Sometimes the home bp monitors are more accurate measuring heart rate than others, the pacing can throw off the count. It's safe to use, just don't depend on the number. If it seems way off, count manually.

Fat analyzer/BP monitor

I have been told to stay away from scales that have a fat analyzer build in. A fat analyzer usually sends an electrical signal through your body. If there is a way to switch that signal off, you might be able to use the pedometer. But I'd call the manufacturer and see what they say.

A wrist blood pressure monitor is often inaccurate. You should always measure your blood pressure with a cuff around your upper arm. There's an interesting article about this at:

Wrist monitor

I've found my wrist monitor to be very accurate, and I've taken it with me to the doctor's office to compare it to the one there. I use the sofa arm to support my arm, as it brings it up to heart-level. When I feel myself in afib, the "irregular pulse" feature confirms it. The irregular pulse signal might be from a simple PVC of course, and I recheck in a few minutes if I suspect it is.
