Pacemaker cost reimbursement

Hi everyone,
need your guidance.
I had sigma DDR pacemaker implanted in sept-2004.

I just got checkup last month and it shows battery life min-6 months estimated 22 months & max 38 months.
Since am planning fr higher education and will be going abroad, it wont be possible to come back for surgery her.

Now the ques is i ll be going for operation in a week or 2, will i be getting pacemaker replaced free of cost, or any partial payment?
What does there medtronic policy says?

I see you are in India, and I regret I'm not familar with the health service there. However, it's certainly not the system in Europe or North America for the manufacturer to pay for any part of the replacement. In the USA, it is paid for from our private insurance policies, or via Federal or State programmes, like Medicare. In countries like Canada, or the UK, it is fully funded by the national health service of that country.

You will need to contact your doctor urgently to clarify payment questions, as only they will know how it works for you.

My question is since its in warranty period will the company "Medtronic" replace it for free?

Man, if u are not aware then no one is asking ur opinion. U should better mind ur own business.
Anyways for ur info Medtronic gives a life time warranty in India and they replace the device free of cost ones the battery depletes.
Yes my case it might not be applicable as m going for early operation, but there's always a way out and i have find one to limit my expenses.

So next time u better see mirror to have a good laugh!!
