I'm a 53 YO male, REAL go getter, A type Big time nothing stops me or gets in my way, if I get down (mentally) its only for a day. I have COPD chronic bronchitis, with coughing fits even when no bronchitis present. Nevertheless, went to Dr. for getting dizzy, when driving or resting, to the point Id pull over to the side till it passed, Like suddenly drunk at times then tired for the rest of the day, but never had any chest pains, Thought problem was my lungs, not enough oxygen. Wore a mod. for a month, W. Mod on I passed out once checking pulse at neck before I knew about nerve. Im told Sensitive nerve in my neck. And heart paused 3 times during coughing fit (5, 3, and 2 Sec). Ordered to get PM or forfeit my Drivers License. I had a dual lead on demand PM installed set at Min 60 BPM on 4/23/14 for heart pause. days latter After PM installed REALLY bad chest pain and Jaw and woke me up 4 am. lasted 5 Min. Didn't go to ER (its a 2 hours drive). 2 days latter went to cardio norm. first follow up. sent right to ER upper lead non-operating. they did all kinds of test, x-ray, eco, blood, EKG, Ultra sound, etc.and told Artery in neck 40% blocked but that's not bad, pre-diabetes, was high cholesterol but got it down over the past year but they say I still have VERY HIGH blood fats (I didn't know there was a difference from cholesterol and blood fats) may be a problem, but all else good. Also found lead was bad and moved. Had it replaced was told by surgeon I had scar in heart as lead wouldn't work in first try/location of new lead so they relocated it. "Scar is probably from heart attack in the past" (heart attack? what?) . Now a weeks latter I get chest pain spaced anywhere from every 3 days up to 4 times a day. Went to ER was told "We cant find any problem as blood test good, xray leads are good, can be acid maybe only anxiety, stress (high stress job) but we just don't know.". . Was asked it happens when working out "Never, most of the time wen resting" Also asked if I had a stress test, Again "No". I was told "follow up with your regular Dr. in 2 days. he may send you for a stress test. Return to ER if it gets worse, last longer or more frequent... Doc made me feel like he was not sure if there was any problem at all... RN was great...
Feels like a real bad cramp in the leg but its in my heart (center chest) Last 1 sec to several min. most of the time its only a pain in my chest. The last one (10 Min. ago) was really bad lasted 2 Min. went to L. Arm and Jaw. Never had chest pain before PM... Is it Norm??? I HATE ER and blowing anyone's time, I Feel like REAL CRAP When I was told can't find anything wrong..., Is it norm. to feel pain or ??? Dam, I'm the kind of person gives help I don't like getting or needing it.. VERY frustrated, Sorry I needed to VENT...

Call 911 or an ambulance but do not drive yourself.

Call 911. Don't drive yourself (like I did) cause I was home alone and live about 4 blocks from the hospital. Hindsight is 20/20
