My son just had a pacemaker put in two months ago. He is five years old and VERY active. I'm trying to figure out some sort of padding/protection to help with when he gets bumped. Does anyone have a favorite such as undershirts with padding or a pad he can strap on underneath his shirt? He's getting to start t-ball, and though it's pretty low key, I would feel better if there was something to help cover. :)

From what I've seen, you may struggle to find anything appropriate due to his age. I've used shoulder supports that protect the chest area but, as Tracey says, if it's in his stomach, it may be of no use!
You could buy a compression/base layer and sew a pocket into it? Then use a piece of memory type foam to pad the area. Could be done very cheaply and recycled as he grows!

Thanks guys. He actually has his pm located in his chest just up by his left shoulder. I think I will just make a couple shirts with some pockets and padding. I just wanted to see what was out there first. Thanks for the input :)

As long as his dr says it's ok and you keep him out of full contact sports, he should be ok, but I get that you're worried :) Check out paceguard, padded shirts invented by a member here, a mom with a paced child. I've seem their adult shirts with the chest protector but think they have kid size intended to protect abdominal pm's (I assume that's what he has given his age).
