Are others really uncomfortable with medtronic pm in ERI? Last check showed 5-6 months and 2 weeks later in ERI. Surgery set 3 weeks out, so soon now. I have been very uncomfortable during this time.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.

ERI is elective replacement mode, which should still be pacing at full function. When it reaches the end of ERI, it switches to end of life mode and cuts back so yes, that does not feel good at all if you pace a lot. It's still pacing enough to keep us safe but it no longer goes up and does as needed. Can you move it up and do it sooner?
