Missed paced beats

Hi, I have a ICD with 2 leads for LQTS and bradycardia.
Recently they found out that my atrial lead is broken (noise + inappropriate mode switches etc.) they switched of the mode switch, so my pacemaker doesn't go haywire anymore. I was in the USA at that moment, and I'm from Europe. They wanted to change the lead in USA, however I would rather have that done at home.
Now I've noticed something strange and annoying when my rate response is working: my heart rate goes up to 130 bpm (normal), than two/ three beats at 40 bmp, and goes up to 130 bpm and then to 40 bpm again and back up to 130 bpm etc. (lower rate is 60 bpm). Could this be due to "oversensing noise" so it thinks that it don't need to pace anymore and stop pacing?

Do you think this could be detrimental for the battery of my ICD?

Thanks in advance!

This is not normal. Have your device interrogated again. Are you SURE you're pacing at 40 bpm? If your device is set at 60, that should NOT happen.
